Shopping Cart Explained
Item Total
The Item Total in the upper righthand corner of every page maintains a running total of the
number of items and associated cost of what has been added to the shopping cart. It does not
take into consideration postage, promotions, or any special offers. They are only applied
on the actual Shopping Cart page when you are ready to checkout.
2 for £15 Offer
A number of products form part of the 2 for £15 offer. There is a link to a page containing these
products on the site's home page. Products that are eligible for this offer contain an (*) at the end of
their descriptions when displayed in the Shopping Cart. The individual prices for these items are displayed,
but a discount will be displayed on a separate line when the conditions of the offer have been met.
You must order any 2 items that are eligible for this offer to receive them for a total of £15. Multiple
purchases of the same item are also accepted. The saving you make will be displayed as a discount.
This offer works in multiples of 2 and so the discount will increase as you order 4, 6, 8 items, etc.
(eg: 4 for £30, 6 for £45).
If, for example, you order 3 items that are included in the 2 for £15 offer, only 2 will be used in calculating the offer's discount, but it will be the most expensive
2 items, and so you will receive the maximum discount available on what you have ordered. The same applies if ordering 5, 7, etc items where only some of the items (a multiple of 2)
will contribute to the 2 for £15 offer.
Please be aware that if you return item(s) for a refund that contributed to the 2 for £15 offer discount, you may end up paying the full price on the other items that you keep.
In order words, you may not be refunded the full cost of the item(s) you return as the 2 for £15 offer may no longer apply due to being invalidated by the return of 1 or more items.
3 for £25 Offer
A number of products may occasionally form part of the 3 for £25 offer. There will be a link to a page containing these
products on the site's home page. Products that are eligible for this offer contain a (+) at the end of
their descriptions when displayed in the Shopping Cart. The individual prices for these items are displayed,
but a discount will be displayed on a separate line when the conditions of the offer have been met.
You must order any 3 items that are eligible for this offer to receive them for a total of £25. Multiple
purchases of the same item are also accepted. The saving you make will be displayed as a discount.
This offer works in multiples of 3 and so the discount will increase as you order 6, 9 items, etc.
(eg: 6 for £50).
If, for example, you order 4 or 5 items that are included in the 3 for £25 offer, only 3 will be used in calculating the offer's discount, but it will be the most expensive
3 items, and so you will receive the maximum discount available on what you have ordered.
Please be aware that if you return item(s) for a refund that contributed to the 3 for £25 offer discount, you may end up paying the full price on the other items that you keep.
In order words, you may not be refunded the full cost of the item(s) you return as the 3 for £25 offer may no longer apply due to being invalidated by the return of 1 or more items.
Special Promotion
Special Promotion codes can be used to obtain a discount on an entire order or in some cases, a particular brand. When one of these codes is entered and you press the 'Apply' button,
the discount on your order is calculated and the discount earned is displayed. The discount is worked out on the current Order Value which may already have discounts applied for
special offers such as '2 for £15'. So, for a '2 for £15' offer for example, a 10% special promotion code would earn you £1.50. These Promotion Codes are either mailed to you in
Newsletters or are, on occasion, displayed on the site, usually the home page.
Credit Voucher
Credit Voucher codes can be used to offset a predefined amount you have been allocated, against your order. As these are applied on the Shopping Cart page before shipping is calculated,
they cannot be currently used to offset against shipping charges. When one of these codes is entered and you press the 'Apply' button, your order amount will be adjusted by the credit you
have available to you. This is applied automatically and so you cannot specify how much credit to use for the order.
Examples:
You have £30 credit. Your order amount is £35. Your entire credit will be used up leaving you with an order amount of £5 to pay.
You have £20 credit. Your order amount is £12. Only part of your credit is used. The order amount is reduced to £0, and your remaining credit updated to £8.
Credit vouchers are allocated to customers under a number of circumstances, usually as follows:
Your order has gone missing in the post. You elect for a credit voucher as opposed to a refund or a replacement.
One of more of the items in your order are damaged. You elect for a credit voucher as opposed to a refund or a replacement.
Even if your order amount is reduced to £0, you must select one of the payment methods to complete the order, even though you may have nothing to pay.
If you select 'PayPal', you will be required to log into your Account in order for your delivery address to be made available to us. When you do this, you will see an invoice total of 1 penny.
This is required to enable you to log into PayPal as it will not accept zero amounts. If, after having calculated whether there are any shipping costs or not, you can complete the order.
If there is no payment required, then PayPal is not accessed again, and your order is completed. The 1 penny is never taken.
If you select 'Credit/Debit Card', you are taken to a page where shipping costs are calculated. If there is something to pay, you can then select 'PayPal' or 'Card' to complete the order.
If there is nothing to pay, these buttons will not appear. Instead there will be a button
Complete Order (No Cost)
for you to press to complete the order.
